African Violet...What can I do?
have you tried fertilizing with a african violet food? It is worth the cost to buy the special stuff, mine bloomed shortly after. Read the instructions carefully though because you can over do it which will cause it to only produce leaves and not flowers....

even with a websearch I couldn't find that either. I have a couple suggestions for you. go to the library and look through the gardening books. Take pictures and either go to home depot, a nursery or post a weblink with pics and a list of what kind of seeds were planted. what do you have left to identify? I hope you know what kind of seeds and starters were planted....
the last of the tomato plants?
Your chances are very good. Ours usually keep setting fruit until the first frost. The plants will start to loose their mid-summer luster, but they will be fine. You can ripen the last ones inside, use them for fried green tomatoes or use them in any number of recipes for things like chutney. Who purchased "zoo poo" this year and did you use it for your vegetable garden or just for your yard
We did not, but have seen the product. The poo is generally composted manure from zoo animals. Composted manures will not generally burn plants. As far as the nutrient content and whether or not it will make your plants grow larger, compost can be all over the map when it comes to specific NPK percentages. I am repotting my venus flytrap, and I bought was african violet soil. It has some fertilizer in it, still ok?
NO, no fertilizer at all. No nutrients for carnivorous plants. The only thing you need to plant them in is 1/2 perlite and 1/2 peat moss or your plants will die. They get all the nourishment they need from the insects they eat. What you can use that is related to the African Violet is the double pot. The outer pot holds water and the porous inner pot absorbs the water. VFTs are bog plants and love to keep moist and humid.
